Marina Georgiadou is a member of the Special Teaching Personnel at the Occupational Therapy Program of the Department of Health Sciences, School of Health and Life Sciences, at European University Cyprus. She is a registered Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in mental health, community-based practice, and the support of vulnerable and displaced populations. She holds an MSc in Mental Health from Oxford Brookes University and a degree in Occupational Therapy from the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. She is currently a PhD candidate in Public Health, focusing on the barriers and facilitators to healthcare access for asylum seekers in Cyprus, an area that reflects her commitment to social inclusion and health equity. Her academic and professional work spans clinical practice, higher education, and applied research. Marina has participated in several national and European projects, including initiatives on digital accessibility for persons with disabilities and mental health-related needs in correctional systems. Her research interests include occupational participation, mental health recovery, public health, and vulnerable populations’ health. She has presented her work at major international conferences, such as the European Public Health Conference, WFOT Congress, the ENOTHE Annual Meeting, and the Occupational Therapy Europe Congress.
