Damianos Zisimou is a visual artist and researcher currently based in Rotterdam and Nicosia. He holds a BFA from the Art Academy in Rome, Italy, and an MA in Cultural Sociology from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. His primary research interests revolve around decolonial thinking, interdisciplinary knowledge production, photographic archives and cultural heritage. In recent years, he has actively engaged in the intersection of art and academia, collaborating with esteemed academic and cultural institutions such as the University of Agder, University of Amsterdam and the Cyprus Handicraft Services
