Annini Tsioutis read musicology at the Sorbonne University (MA, PhD) and also holds a French National Teaching Diploma (Diplôme d’Etat), specializing in Classical piano, a Bachelor’s Degree from INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilizations de l’Orient) in Paris, on European Languages, Cultures, and Literatures, specializing in Greek culture and civilization (2021), and a joint Master’s in Language Sciences, from the INALCO and the Sorbonne Nouvelle University, with a focus on the Greek-Cypriot dialect (2022).
Annini’s research interests focus on Greek music and its reception during the 20th and 21st centuries, the second Viennese School, the music of Greek composer Nikos Skalkottas, the role of the performer in the creation of new musical works, the modalities of the performer-composer collaboration, as well as the valorisation and visibility of private and institutional archival collections through research, cataloguing, digitization and publication.
In addition to her academic activities Annini is also an active performer, event curator and music researcher.
Annini Tsioutis is member of the Academic Staff (Adjunct Lecturer) of the MA Hellenic Studies (18 Months / 90 ECTS, E-Learning): History, Archaeology and Art, Heritage Management of the European University Cyprus.
She teaches the courses Greek Artistic and Intellectual Production (1922-1991): Culture through the prism of Modernity and Greek civilization in Study Curriculums around the World.
