Chrysovalantis Kyriacou is read History and Archaeology at the University of Cyprus and earned his PhD in History from the University of London (2016). His area of expertise is the history and culture (literary and material) of the Late Antique, Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on Cyprus. Dr Kyriacou is Lecturer in Ecclesiastical History at the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus and Adjunct Lecturer in European University Cyprus. A former Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation Fellow, Dr Kyriacou is also a Research Associate of the Hellenic Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London. As a Teaching Associate he has taught both conventional and distance-learning courses (both undergraduate and graduate) at the University of Cyprus, the Theological School of the Church of Cyprus, and European University Cyprus. His teaching encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects: Late Antiquity, Byzantium, Early Christianity, Church History, and Byzantine/Medieval Art and Archaeology. Dr Kyriacou is the author of four books on the history and culture of Byzantine, Crusader and Venetian Cyprus.
