Dr. Maria Papazachariou – Christoforou

Members

Christina Charalambidou is a PhD student in Music Education at European University Cyprus. She holds an MA in Music and Music Education with a specialization in early childhood education (Columbia University) and a BA in Music (Queens College, CUNY). From 2008 to 2016 she worked in private schools and organizations in New York and Cyprus. Between 2014 and 2017 she worked as a teaching fellow at the School of Education Sciences, University of Cyprus. In 2017, she started working as a teaching fellow at the School of Arts and Education Sciences, European University Cyprus. Her research interests focus on creative music teaching practices in Early Childhood Education, pre- service pre-school teachers’ music growth and the study of music acquisition singing experiences from the womb to the infancy. Since 2007, she has participated and attended seminars and conferences in the field of music education.
